About the Course
In this final part of a two-part Virtual Course, you will again be introduced to four interesting topics. The first contribution gives you a detailed update on the current consensus on condylar fractures, including indications, surgical versus conservative treatment, approaches, planning systems, complications and pediatric fractures. In the second contribution you will learn more about 3D printing in traumatology and when it is useful. The third contribution is dedicated to the question "How and when do total joint replacements have indications in TMJ reconstruction?”. The special features of the TMJ compared to joints such as the hip or knee joint are explained, as well as the history, advantages and disadvantages of the TMJ prosthesis and when the use of a prosthesis makes sense. The last contribution gives an update and outlook on new technologies including evolution in imaging, planning, transfer technology, simulation, navigation and tools. The course concludes with a detailed Q & A.
