About the Webinar

In this second video in a three part series on upper limb trauma the IBRA training centers Wrightington hospital, UK (fellowship director Adam Watts and faculty Sumedt Talwalkar and Matthew Ricks) and Guy`s and St Thomas Hospital, London, UK (fellowship director Lorenzo Garagnani and faculty Sam Gidwani) present six interesting cases on wrist and forearm surgery. They share the cases and discuss how each of them would manage them so that you can learn something about different perspectives on managing difficult trauma scenarios of the wrist and forearm. The six cases presented are:

  • Three different types of distal radius fractures from a more simple one to more complex ones
  • A patient with painful wrist clunking and ulnar deviation following a history of minor trauma and VISI on lateral x-ray as well as general hypermobility of the joints
  • A patient with a gunshot injury of the forearm with associated fracture of the radius presenting four weeks after the injury
  • A scaphoid non-union first treated with a screw presenting three years after the fixation procedure with pain and decreased grip strength
