About this Scientific Article
Read in this article how performing a partial arthrodesis of the wrist (RSL arthrodesis) for precisely selected indications can be an effective way to reduce wrist pain while optimising the postoperative range of motion, strength and stability of the wrist. Learn about the requirements for achieving optimal results with RSL arthrodesis using the Medartis Radioscapholunate Arthrodesis System with 2.5 TriLock RSL Fusion Plates and a distal pole scaphoidectomy. The surgical technique is described in detail, as are the postoperative results (ROM, strength, DASH Score and Mayo Wrist Score) over an average period of 24 months. The limitations of the study are also discussed.
