In this third video in a three part series on upper limb trauma the IBRA training centers Wrightington hospital, UK (fellowship director Adam Watts and faculty Chey Yew Ng and Michael Hayton) and Guy`s and St Thomas Hospital, London, UK (fellowship director Lorenzo Garagnani and faculty Charles Bain) present five interesting cases on hand surgery. They share the cases and discuss how each of them would manage them so that you can learn something about different perspectives on managing difficult trauma scenarios of the hand. The five cases presented are:
- An intra-articular fracture of both sides of the first carpometacarpal joint (Bennett`s fracture dislocation with trapezium fracture)
- A comminuted fracture of the little finger with a volar fragment und subluxation
- A closed displaced second metacarpal shaft fracture with broken plate after five weeks
- A malunited ring finger PIP joint fracture dislocation
- A malunited thumb PIP joint fracture dislocation
