About the Webinar
In this first module of a 15-part series, you will learn more about imaging in dento-maxillo-facial traumatology and the role of the oral and maxillofacial surgeon in advanced trauma life support (ATLS) and polytrauma management. In the first part of this video, you get to know which kind of imaging (X-ray, CT, CBCT, MRI, 3D imaging) should be used for which trauma (dental trauma, mandibular fractures, TMJ fractures, midface fractures) and why. In the second part of the video, you will learn more about the phases of the initial assessment process in polytrauma patients in which the OMFS can provide support. Here, the focus is on non-surgical airway maintenance, bleeding control and vision threatening injuries. Both parts end with an informative Q & A.
